Wish Granting And So Much More!
One Simple Wish was created with the mission of brightening the lives in those in need. Our Wish Granting serves thousands of foster children and vulnerable families each year and now we're offering more ways for people to connect.
About Our Programs
Wish Granting
As our core program, Wish Granting offers caring individuals a way to directly impact the life of a child or family in need by granting them one simple wish. On our website, anyone can browse through hundreds of wishes posted on behalf of foster children, at-risk youth and vulnerable families.
Wishes are submitted to One Simple Wish through a network of Community Partners - social service agencies and other nonprofits throughout the United States that serve at-risk individuals and families.

Wish To Work
Many of the children served by One Simple Wish have aged out of the foster care system. This means they have reached the age of 18 (or up to 21 in some states) and were not reunited with their biological families or adopted. Children who age out of foster care face grim futures, being much more likely become teen parents, to experience homelessness, or to end up in prison or addicted to drugs.
Wish To Work offers foster children ages 16+ an opportunity to prepare for and obtain professional jobs that can aid them in becoming self-sustaining, successful adults. Wish To Work offers a series of
networking events, seminars, lectures and training led by local business professionals that focus on giving these young people the tools necessary to find and secure jobs or internships in a variety of industries.

Art Spark
Art Spark offers free art classes in The Wish Shop and throughout the cities of Trenton, Newark and Camden. Taught by volunteer, professional artists and teachers, these classes
are aimed at exposing children in low income neighborhoods to creative outlets. To refer a child or for a full list of classes being offered, contact info@onesimplewish.org for more information.
SNO
SNO (Safe Night Out) offers fun, safe alternatives for teens and young adults by providing free activities in The Wish Shop that encourage creativity, community and diversity. SNO events will return in July 2011 and a listing can be found on our Events page.
Work To Wish
Work To Wish provides at-risk youth with a supportive environment that fosters positivity and service to others. By completing a required number of community service hours in the NJ Wish Shop, participants are entitled to have one special wish granted.
Project Prom
Over 500 new and gently worn dresses, shoes and handbags are collected and distributed at no cost to young women in our programs each year. For more about donating or benefiting from this program, click here.
