Sam's Wish - Washington, DC
In partnership with

'You have to think positive. You can't feel sorry for yourself.'
~ Sam Q.

Sam has been in foster care his entire life, for 19 years. But he hasn't let that, abuse, or Cerebral Palsy, keep him from a positive attitude and a hopeful future.
One Simple Wish traveled over 5,700 miles this May to grant 30 big wishes in 30 cities in 30 days to foster kids to raise awareness and action for National Foster Care Awareness Month. We took a trip to Washington, DC to visit with CASA of DC and get a jumpstart on one of those wishes. We met Sam Queen at a rehab facility to talk about his story and to hear more about his wish for a new handicap accessible van so he can spend more time with his foster family and maybe even find a girlfriend!
This is Sam's wish. As of June 10, we have been able to provide him with $2,000 already and are still working towards getting him his van.
