F.L. is a 17 year old teen girl that is preparing to emancipate. She will be turning 18 years old in a few months. She is currently in a residential treatment center and will soon be stepping down into an Independent Living Center. There, she will have her own apartment, will be securing employment, and hopefully will be reunified with her infant daughter. She will also be linked to services in the community and will be able to be connected to friends and family in that area. F.L. has received her GED and is naturally a leader. F.L. likes helping other youth and would like to be employed to do so in the future. She has excelled with volunteer efforts in a church and employment in the past at a summer camp. F.L. is looking forward to being active in the community, and having a fresh start where she will be making decisions as an adult.
