Destiny is a determined girl who has faced some very difficult issues in her young life. She came into foster care when her parents were not able to handle the extremely high level of care necessary due to Destiny's diagnosis of Tuberous Sclerosis Complex, a rare, multisystem genetic disorder. Destiny's foster mother has done a tremendous job involving her in the community and has tried to ensure that she experiences a normal childhood.
