Michael became a dependent of San Francisco County due to physical abuse in the home. He was removed from his home and lost his father to cancer in the same year. Michael suffers from depression and anxiety and has had several disrupted foster placements. He has since received mental health treatment and is now slowly learning to cope with his life struggles. He currently lives with an aunt but often expresses how much he misses the hugs and kisses of his mother. Michael is a very intelligent and bright young man that excels in school. In 8th grade he was on the honors society program and he is currently in the bio medical track in high school. This resilient young man will, no doubt, be very successful in life!
