Emily's time in foster care was not easy, but as she reflects on her time in care she feels it did help her realize her self-worth. She aged out of the foster care system, battled homelessness, but fortunately has recently secured housing. Emily is committed to stabilizing herself, keeping her housing, and working towards her personal goal of gaining independent living skills.
