Star was in foster care for most of her childhood. She aged out of care and currently receives continuing assistance through the Support Center's RYTA program (a program to provide follow-up care to young adults previously in foster care and currently in need). Star suffers from a mild intellectual instability. Her team was able to find her a subsidized apartment and she loves it.
