Amya participates in the LifeSet program, which supports young adults in the foster care system during their transition to adulthood. She grew up with an abusive mother facing substance abuse issues. As a new mother, Amya is nurturing and attentive to her infant, demonstrating maturity beyond her years due to her past experiences. Living independently, her child is her top priority, and she has worked hard to improve her situation. Amya is working on becoming a certified Home Health Aide. In her spare time, Amya enjoys family visits, particularly with her grandmother, and she likes taking her daughter for walks and spending time in the park. When not working or caring for her baby, she enjoys cleaning and reading.
