What is a wish party
A wish party is a place for our kids to just be kids. It’s a place for foster families to unite,
a place for siblings who are placed in separate foster homes to visit each other, and it’s a place for under-served
families to bond and form a network of support.
Here's what we do at Wish Parties:
- Raise awareness about One Simple Wish’s services
- Enjoy a delicious meal
- Make crafts and play games
- Give out brand new toys and personal care products
- Share local resources
- Have fun and make new connections
Why Do We Do this?
Wish Parties enable the One Simple Wish team to connect people who want to help with children in foster care and youth in the surrounding area who need some extra support.
There are nearly 500,000 children in foster care throughout the United States and these children need us! They need our support, our love, and our guidance. Wish parties help to build strong community partnerships with other local agencies who are working towards the same goal, to give kids the love, hope and joy they need.
