Maria has recently been placed in foster care and will be starting at a new school in August. She hopes to get a new pair of shoes for the school year, as she enjoys fashion, and having a fresh pair would really boost her self-esteem. Having a stylish pair of shoes would help her feel more confident as she makes new friends and adjusts to her new environment.
