Beneath his quiet struggles, Elias is a thoughtful young person. He recently reunited with his mother and brother after living with a foster parent, and while he’s happy to be back home, the transition has been challenging. Elias is passionate about sports; he loves soccer, baseball and enjoys playing games in his free time. These interests help him stay active and engaged, even when things feel tough.

Elias had certain accommodations in foster care that helped him stay on track with schoolwork, and now that he’s home, he’s finding it difficult to complete his homework without those supports. He’s working on rebuilding his bond with his mom and having tools that support his learning and emotional well-being would make a big difference. Elias is a bright student who wants to succeed, but his family does not currently have a computer at home. A laptop would help him complete his homework, stay connected with his teachers and classmates, and feel more confident in his learning. It would also give him a sense of independence and comfort as he adjusts to life back with his family.
