Skylix loves kitties, bugs, and all animals, and dreams of becoming a veterinarian one day so she can help care for them. She’s full of creativity and joy. She loves art, music, dancing, and playing games on her tablet. Skylix has already lived in three different placements, and despite everything she’s been through, her spirit continues to shine. She’s currently living with her great aunt, who feels truly blessed to have her in the family.

After facing so much change and loss, including the recent passing of her grandpa, a special shopping trip would mean the world to Skylix. It would give her a chance to feel like a kid again, to pick out items like her favorite foods, toys, or clothes that make her smile and feel proud of herself. More than just new things, it would be a moment of care and affirmation, a reminder that she is loved, seen, and worthy of joy and hope for the future. The family is struggling financially due to the government shutdown and rising food costs. A shopping trip would lift her spirits and bring a much-needed moment of joy and relief during this difficult time.
