Carolyna is a bright and creative young lady who has been in foster care for a couple of years. She was placed with a kinship caregiver alongside her brothers. While this move brings them closer to family, their caregiver is low-income and struggles to provide the essentials the children need. Carolyna is an artistic and expressive person who loves playing video games, practices the violin, and finds joy in all kinds of music. She also enjoys makeup and fashion, which help her feel confident and connected to her peers. Despite everything she has been through, she continues to show resilience, warmth, and a strong sense of self.

Carolyna recently moved into a kinship placement with her brother. Their caregiver is doing everything possible to support them, but the home has limited resources, and she doesn’t yet have the things that help a teen feel comfortable and settled in her own space. She would love to pick out items like a comforter, room décor, and small essentials that reflect her personality and make her room feel more like home. Creating a cozy, personalized room would bring her comfort during a time of major transition and give her a sense of ownership and stability she truly deserves.
