Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption Association

Kaden is a bright and engaging young man who brings energy and personality into any room he enters. Currently living in a residential facility, he is beginning an important transition toward greater independence as he prepares to move into an assisted living setting designed for young adults aging out of the foster care system. While this next step comes with understandable uncertainty, it also reflects the growth and potential that Kaden continues to show. Kaden has a deep love for video games, often using them as a way to relax, connect, and unwind. He’s a typical young person in many ways—curious, expressive, and full of emotion. At times, those emotions can feel overwhelming, and he is still learning how to navigate and manage them in healthy, productive ways. With guidance, patience, and the right support systems in place, Kaden is building those important life skills step by step. At his core, Kaden is a genuinely sweet and kind-hearted youth. He has a good nature about him and responds well to encouragement and positive relationships. As he prepares for this next chapter, Kaden would benefit greatly from continued structure, mentorship, and opportunities to build confidence in his independence. With the right support, he has every opportunity to thrive and grow into a capable, self-sufficient young adult.

Kaden will also need steady phone service to fully use his phone during this important transition. He is requesting six months of service to match the length of the independent living program he is entering. During this time, Kaden will be focused on learning life skills, meeting program requirements, and preparing for adulthood. Because of this, he will have limited time to work or earn his own income. Having phone service will allow him to stay in contact with program staff, attend appointments, reach potential employers, and keep up with his schedule. Without service, even having a phone would not meet these basic needs. Kaden does not have financial support outside of the program, so this coverage would help bridge an important gap while he builds stability. Once he completes the program and begins working, he will be better able to manage his own phone expenses.
