A laptop for Jordynn who wanted to be a social worker

Posted May 15, 2017
Jordynn never thought that this day would come where she would actually be able to attend college. She had alway been from foster home to foster home. IN her last home, her ofter parents encouraged her to attend college. Well this summer, Jordynn will be attending college at the local community college. She plans to major in Social Work but will need a laptop to write her papers and complete her assignments. Jordynn will be the first one in her family to attend college.

Jordynn is 26 years old and lives in TX

Jordynn recently decided to enter extended foster care and has been diagnosed with Antiphospholipid (APL) syndrome. A diagnosis in which her blood to clots everywhere in her body. Her legs and feet are often so swollen she can hardly get socks or slippers on let alone walk around. She is frequently in the hospital battling sepsis as well as other issues caused by APL. Jordynn refuses to let her diagnosis define her and is constantly trying to look at the brighter things in life.
