Rebecca came into the foster care system due to her parents Issues with addiction. The family home was severely unsanitary and Rebecca and her siblings were removed. They were returned home and removed again for the same issues. Rebecca is now in extended foster care. She was working part-time and going to a local community college which she absolutely loved. She was doing exceptionally well in school until late 2016 when Rebecca was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. She has had a long and difficult journey since then but she remains upbeat and hopeful.

"Hello! The story about you hit me as I have a friend who has a daughter about your age and she is on a similar difficult journey. She used a computer to take her mind off of things and I hope this helps you as well. If you want a fun on-line game to play, try toontownrewritten.com (email address needed). Many adults (like me) play the game even though it looks like it's for kids. Know that others care about you and I wish you nothing but the best! Take care and feel better!"

"Hello Mr. Kruger, I received a beautiful blue laptop from you and it definitely made me smile. I will make my trips to the hospital a bit more bearable even though it is a difficult time. It give me a chance to have something to do and not worry as much too. My treatments are going well and I am so hopeful. Thank you so much! Rebecca"
