New glasses and contacts for Melissa who enjoys working with children with special needs

Posted Oct 25, 2017
Melissa's wish is to have both of her eye exams for contacts and glasses, a new supply of contact lenses, and to have her prescription glasses replaced. She recently worked at a residential school for students with autism spectrum disorder and other special needs. There a student had broken her glasses. She had to immediately resign due to health problems and was not able get her glasses paid for by the school before doing so.

Melissa is 28 years old and lives in KS

Melissa is a full-time student at Butler County Community college and should be transferring to Wichita State University in the spring. She recently was hired as a para in our local school district. She is also bilingual.

"Hello Maria, Thank you so much for granting this wish for Melissa! She truly appreciate your kind heart. She even sent in a thank you note! Here is a glimpse of the wonderful words she had to share: "I cannot express how grateful I am to you. It is so easy to take sight and general access to healthcare for granted. I feel blessed to have someone like you care enough about my well-being to act towards my cause." We hope you enjoy this thank you note as much as we have! "
