Reading skills course for Marrissa who wants to feel more prepared for higher education

Marissa has expressed that she would like to improve her reading skills in both speed and comprehension before taking on college. After speaking with the High school and talking with her guidance counselor, they didn’t seem as if they could do much other than have Marissa attend an after school study hall where teachers are available to help with homework. In talking with the tech school, they couldn’t do anything since Marissa is still in high school. This online course designed to do just what Marissa wants.This is something Marissa strongly feels she needs, and it would be linked to her being successful in her future.
Marissa is 24 years old and lives in WI
Marissa is an amazing young lady that has been in foster care since February, 2015. She has plans to go on to college, but has some struggles with reading skills. Marissa enjoys being in the orchestra and spending time with her friends.
