Connor struggles with self regulation and body awareness. He will often flap his hands or jump about to get sensory input. But, Connor is self aware enough to know that this makes him look different. Connor struggles with finding ways to receive his needed sensory input that does not make him stand out. His foster family has found that weighted blankets help provide Connor the input that he needs.
Connor is 14 years old and lives in OH
This is Connor's third time in care over the last two years. He has experienced immense trauma in his short life span. This trauma, paired with his Autism diagnosis, has caused many struggles for Connor. Luckily, Connor has been able to return to the same foster home where the foster parents are working diligently to help Connor cope with his trauma.
