Shaniya is in a new school this year and has reached new heights academically. She has discovered a love of reading and is excelling. She always has a book with her and will spontaneously read to anyone who shows an interest.
Shaniya is 14 years old and lives in NC
Shaniya has been in foster care since 2013. Shaniya is a delightful child. She is now in a loving and stable environment and is thriving. She loves to read and read and read! When she is not reading, she is outside riding her bike or playing hide ‘n go seek. She loves to read out loud to anyone who is with her and she is so proud of her reading ability. At this time, Shaniya is thinking about becoming a teacher.
