A punching bag for Nate who struggles with anxiety

Posted Feb 13, 2018
Nate has made tremendous progress in his foster home, but he still struggles with his anger/temper and tends to get anxious in new situations. When Nate is frustrated he hits himself on the head or his legs. FP’s and CM have talked with him about healthy ways to get out his frustration and think that he would benefit from a small punching bag, so he can hit the bag opposed to himself. Nate was excited about the idea of a punching bag and agrees that it could be a good solution.

Nathan is 15 years old and lives in OH

Nathan is a very inquisitive boy who loves to ask questions about everything! Nathan has experienced a lot of trauma in his short life so asking questions helps him feel more secure. He is in foster care with his 3 brothers. Nathan has a hard time trusting people due to everyone giving up on him, but has slowly been letting down his guard to his Foster parents. Nate loves all sports and hopes to play on the football team when he gets older.
