A Laptop for Michaela who is working hard on becoming a Dermatologist

Due to the rise of technology, most of Michaela’s assignments need to be submitted through an online portal. Michaela tries to stay after class to complete all her homework; however, oftentimes the teachers post assignments after she leaves class and she is unable to complete the assignments on time. Michaela is in need of a laptop to continue to pursue her academic dreams of being a dermatologist.
Michaela is 25 years old and lives in NJ
Michaela recently contacted the Division to request her case be reopened for services. Michaela was removed from her biological mother’s care in 2015 due to alcohol abuse. Michaela was reunified with her biological father but moved out once she graduated high school. Since that time, Michaela has been staying with various family members but was asked to leave and found herself homeless. Michaela attends Bergen Community College in hopes of becoming a dermatologist and works part time at Panera.
