Ixchel will be going to Washington D.C. to complete a congressional internship this summer and needs a professional wardrobe. She has worked extremely hard to get to where she is today, and could benefit from a small break.
Ixchel is 33 years old and lives in CA
Ixchel is a bright young woman who has worked extremely hard all of her life. She spent 9 years of her life in foster care and says the most challenging thing she has ever had to do was emancipate out of the system when she turned 18. Being in foster care has taught Ixchel how to appreciate the bad times and the good times even more.

"We just recevied the following message from Ixchel: For your kindness: I want to thank you for your support and donation to me during this time of my life. I will be traveling to Washington D.C. this summer for a congressional internship surrounding policy reform to the foster care system. I had worries about the appropriateness of my apparel for the job that I would be filling. To get this gift at this time of the year has been a true blessing and is exactly what I needed. I am very grateful for your kindness and willingness to help someone that may not be able to do anything for you in return. These actions are the only kind that have made my life worth living and I cherish every opportunity I am allowed to pay it forward in my own work and in my life’s mission of addressing the needs of vulnerable populations within our society.
