Nautica is on her own, with little support. Not only is she supporting herself independently, but she also recently took in her younger brother because he had no where to go. Nautica has shown amazing determination and perseverance. .

Nautica has coped with many changes over the past year. Working on living independently, young Nautica also felt compelled to protect and support her younger brother. While managing her hardships, Nautica found a way to also take care of her brother by providing a roof over his head and provide for all of his basic needs. These actions go above and beyond someone at Nautica’s age when factoring in the hardships she has faced. Nautica has displayed loyalty, commitment and a desire to make a difference in her brothers life.
