A bus pass for Daniel who is getting ready for independent living

Posted Jun 19, 2018
Daniel is wishing for a bus pass to help him be more independent. He is hoping to move out on his own soon and is worried about how he will be able to get to and from school, work and football practice while he saves up money for a car.

Daniel is 24 years old and lives in RI

Dan is a funny, kind, and athletic young man who has recently entered into foster care after spending a year in juvenile detention. Dan was happy to move into foster care, and has done an exceptional job of proving that he is not just defined by his past behavior. Dan is well-liked within his community, and fulfilled one of his lifetime ambitions of playing on the high school football team. He even made the play that gave his team their first win!! Dan loves football, and enjoys seeing his foster parents and birth parents in the stands, cheering him on. His self-esteem has vastly improved through being on a team, and having the support of his school, foster care, and biological family.
