Amya is a very unique young lady who enjoys being around her family and helping others in as many capacities as possible. She was in foster care for over three years and was separated from her two older and one younger siblings. Despite so many challenging adversities, Amya has overcome her downfalls and has worked to regulate areas of her life including education, seeking employment opportunities and working to improve social interactions with others. She aspires to be a singer when she is older and has an overwhelming passion for music. Amya's life is a testament to other young women; that they too can succeed and reach their goals if they believe in themselves.
