Basketball sneakers for James who dreams of getting a basketball scholarship to college

James is a gifted basketball player who is currently playing on his school team. For such a shy and quiet client, on the court, James is a leader. His coaches think he's gifted enough to play at the college level. However, James doesn't have a pair of suitable sneakers to continue playing. He's been using the same pair for a few years now and has not only grown out of them, but they have no traction left. He has no family support which is why we need YOUR help. We want to encourage this healthy lifestyle, and help James pursue his dream of playing at the college level. We think a gift card to Foot Locker should cover the expenses of the shoes.
James is 21 years old and lives in PA
James is currently living in an emergency shelter. James' mom is incarcerated and he does not know his father. While in the care of his aunt, his younger sisters were abused and therefore the children were removed and have all been separated. James is very shy and because of his past, has trouble trusting others. However, he loves basketball and that seems to be the outlet he turns to when he is stressed or needs to unwind. It's the only time we see him laughing with others, and making friends and we really want to encourage basketball. James hopes that by being a good basketball player, he can someday get a scholarship and go to college.
