Lily's mother was a hoarder so she never saw the floor, never had a bed of her own or toys to play with. She became withdrawn and doesn't make friends easily until a miracle happened when she began playing the drugs in her music class after school. She is beginning to open herself up to others in her music class and Lily told her CASA that she doesn't know where she would be without music and drums. She would be thrilled to have some to practice on her own!
Lilly is 18 years old and lives in CA
Lily is usually quiet and often times withdrawn and appears to be afraid to give eye contact to anyone. However, she is currently in a music class in her after school program where she has fallen in love with music and it is the one thing that provides Lily with happiness. She was recently introduced to the drums and it was there that the musical instructor saw her become a very different young lady. She becomes relaxed and confident which he shared with her caregiver and her CASA.

This Christmas was the best day ever for me because I got nice clothes but the best gift was from you. A set of electric drums...WOW! The drums have helped me so much and my CASA and foster mom say I'm a different girl. I see the change too and I am so much happier and more outgoing.
