Leona cherishes all of her belongings due to her time being homeless and then multiple moves thereafter where she wasn't able to retain many of her own possessions. Leona and siblings were recently reunited with their mother who worked extremely hard to obtain stable housing for the whole family. Leona is resilient and honest and is dealing with traumas she's been faced, but is determined not to let them define her. Leona would love a laptop so that she can continue to use writing as a healthy outlet for her feelings.
Leona is 15 years old and lives in NJ
Leona is a very strong, independent kid who loves school, gets along with her peers and is a helper to everyone she meets. She is very creative, loves making school projects and is always looking after her younger siblings. Leona is the oldest of four children and no matter what is going on with her, she always looks out for others first. Leona loves baby dolls, drawing, board games and learning how to cook. She recently gained an interest in writing stories and would like to write a children's book one day. Leona wants to work with children when she is older, maybe even become a social worker.
