8th Grade Trip to Washington DC for Calub who loves to learn

Calub lives with his paternal grandmother. His parents are not involved with him and both have been in and out of jail and struggle with substance abuse. Calub is very angry at them but is adjusting to his new home. He enjoys going to school and has joined the volley ball and basketball teams. He has stated that school is the only place he feels like a normal kid and would love to be able to attend his 8th grade trip to Washington DC with all of his friends. Being a kid and attending an amazing trip would mean so much to Daniel.
Calub is 15 years old and lives in FL
Calub is a very quiet and reserved young man. He loves sports, video games and vintage rock band t-shirts. Calub is on the basketball and volleyball teams at his school.
