Spring Semester Textbooks for Cynthia who works hard to achieve good grades

Posted Jan 28, 2019
Cynthia is completing her last semester of college and is pursuing a major in family child studies so that she can one day become a social worker. She knows how hard it can be for children in the welfare system based off her own experience, and wants to help those going through it as well. Unfortunately, last minute her funding fell through and now she cannot afford her books for the semester that she so desperately needs. She would be so grateful for any help to purchase these textbooks.

Cynthia is 26 years old and lives in NJ

Cynthia is a strong, resilient young woman who has been in foster care for many years and is about to age out of care when she turns 21. Cynthia has no family support as her mother is deceased and she is estranged from her siblings.

"Ronald, Thank you for granting Cynthia's wish to purchase textbooks through One Simple Wish. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA’s) are assigned to advocate for the best interest of children in court after they’ve been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. It is such a comfort for the kids we serve to receive something special, like the wish you’ve granted, while they are in foster care. Thanks to your generosity, Cynthia's day has been made a little bit brighter! Warmest Regards, Sam Cirlincione"
