Mackenzie is a student from Pennsylvania who was accepted into CCAI’s 2019 Foster Youth Internship Program in Washington, D.C. For 17 years, the FYI Program has been a highly esteemed, life-changing youth empowerment program for young adults who have spent their formative years in the U.S. foster care system. The program offers Foster Youth Interns the opportunity to intern in a congressional office and become published authors of a federal child welfare policy report. To help make this program an impactful experience for the interns, CCAI provides full service, wrap-around care throughout the internship. We need your help to provide essential dorm housing supplies such as bedding, toiletries, plates, utensils, cooking supplies, and detergent in addition to other miscellaneous living supplies.
