A New Skateboard for Terry who wants to exercise

Posted May 1, 2019
Terry entered dependency due to physical abuse by his father. Since he entered into foster care, Terry has had very little contact with his family members. He has also been struggling with mental health issues and has had difficulty sleeping. Recently, Terry has been making significant efforts to better himself. One of his goals is to eat healthy, exercise and get his sleeping habits on track. He really wants to work hard on his physical, mental and emotional health. We are all so proud of him for wanting to concentrate on these areas.

Terry is 20 years old and lives in CA

Terry is a friendly, outgoing and caring young man. He is always making those around him laugh without even trying. He is extremely smart and is happiest when he is working on the computer that he built. His knowledge of complicated issues is impressive. Terry is very tall and sometimes acts tough but once you get to know him it is easy to see how sensitive he really is.

"Thank you very much for the skateboard. It is exactly what I wanted and I really like it. I have been able to use it every day and I'm glad to report that I have lost a several pounds already and I've been getting out and getting fresh air every day. I am able to ride it to the recreation center where I am playing basketball and baseball. Because I am more active, I'm able to get out of the house and away from the tv and video games I feel so much better in this short amount of time. Because I'm more active I am beginning to sleep better too. Gosh do I feel better already. It means so much that you thought about me in this way. "
