Makala is working full time while supporting her son as a single mother, and lives paycheck to paycheck. I'm blown away because when I asked Makala what she needed or wanted me to request, she did not ask for anything for herself, only for her son, Sean. He is growing so fast, and is currently in need of new shoes.
Makala is 32 years old and lives in TX
When I hear the word determined, Makala always comes to mind. She is smart, resilient, and has faced many challenges since aging out of foster care with a type of grace I still do not fully have in my 30's. Makala is the proud mommy to her son Sean, and is committed to creating a life for him better than she had growing up.
