Alexis aged out of foster care two years ago and is living at My Sistah’s Place Independent Living Program. Despite living in several homes throughout her life, Alexis is cheerful and always has a smile on her face. She has a beautiful spirit, is caring, and loves animals. She has struggled with completing her high school requirements due to frequent placements and lack of family support; however, she is determined to complete her GED by December of this year. Alexis works at a nursing facility, where she spends a lot of her time. The residents there love her and will request that she is the attendant that cares for them when she is scheduled to work. Alexis has expressed a desire to open her own business. Although she hasn't decided on what type of business, she knows that it would have to be a business that helps others. We would expect nothing less from Alexis.
