Reunite Olivia with her brother and sister at camp

Posted Jun 10, 2019
Olivia was separated from her siblings when they were taken into foster care. Camp To Belong is a one week program that will reunite Olivia with the brother and sister Victoria for nights of sharing cabin stories, roasting s'mores, swimming and fishing together, archery, a rock wall, etc. Campers are treated to dance parties, talent night, and a full scale carnival right at the camp. All campers are sibling sets who have been separated while in foster care, who understand and support each other. Camp To Belong will engage Olivia and her siblings in making pillows and quilts that they will exchange and take with them to help each other remember one another after camp, and supports siblings in a birthday party where they can celebrate missed milestones. Wish #1 of 2

Olivia is 16 years old and lives in ME

Olivia is an optimistic, active girl. She has been separated from her siblings as a result of being taken into foster care.

Olivia receives the gift from Camp to Belong Maine!

"Dear John and Louisa, thank you so much for granting this wish for Olivia! Our volunteer team is meeting with her and her siblings this month to prepare for the camp week. We'll be talking about what every day will look like, and will also review a packing list. If she doesn't own something on the list, our staff will quietly note color preferences, sizing, etc. and purchase the missing items (a sleeping bag, a bathing suit, etc) and have them waiting for her on her bunk bed when she arrives. Part of the camp experience is lots of photo taking, so that Olivia and her siblings can make and take home albums as an end-of-camp activity. While most of the photos aren't publicly shareable due to privacy, please feel free to find Camp To Belong Maine on facebook after August because we will share the photos that we can, on our facebook page!
