Austin attends a school that requires the use of a laptop computer. Without one his mother must arrange for him to stay after school or take him to the library. This is difficult since she must work so many hours to take care of the family. Homework is hard for Austin to complete on his own so a laptop of his own will allow his mom to assist him in their own home.

Austin is a friendly young man who likes Lego's, puppies, video games and cars. He is very good at making people laugh and says this is important to him since his mom is sad a lot. Austin finds it hard socializing with his peers which is hard since he wishes he had more friends who like to play with him.
