Emily lives with her maternal grandparents while her mom works on her ability to be a good parent to Emily. Her grandparents are on a fixed income and there is not much room for extra curricular activities for Emily. She loves art, both looking at it and creating it herself. She especially loves to draw and paint. While she is frustrated that she missed so many days of school last year that she has to repeat 7th grade, the silver lining is that she will get to take art class again.
