A.J. doesn't express himself well and struggles with articulating his needs and wishes - but swimming is one thing he gets excited about and asks to do all the time. He has been to splash zones and had fun but he keeps asking if he can learn to swim. Encouraging him to have positive activities like this where he can succeed is beneficial for his sense of self as well as being a useful life skill.
A.J. is 15 years old and lives in NC
A.J. loves to draw and play with Legos. He is also in karate class and enjoys learning all the different moves from his Sensei! His favorite subjects in school are science and computers and he hasn't decided what he wants to be when he grows up (although he does say it will be something "very cool"!) He is a wonderful big brother and dotes on his little baby brother every chance he gets!
