Mariana loves to read, but has difficulty getting to the library due to lack of transportation. Her mom works a lot of hours and Mariana is often left home alone. Having a tablet would allow her hours of reading time to help fill the void.

Mariana is sometimes stigmatized by the type of abuse she has suffered, but her wish is to help other children going through what she has been through. Mariana has such a big heart and is very brave. She wants to be an advocate of children's rights when she grows up, and is always looking for ways to promote this mission even as a teen. She likes to draw in a sketch journal as a coping skill, and she loves to read fiction as well.
