Marissa was removed from her home due to her mother's methamphetamine use and exposure to domestic violence. Even though being away from her mother has been difficult for Marissa, she has found some level of comfort in school and prides herself with getting her school work completed in a timely manner. The new foster placement does not have a computer for her to use to complete her work and Marissa worries she will fall behind in school. Having her own computer will encourage Marissa's love of school and also give her something to call her own.
