Jay is a happy little boy but has been through a lot in his young life. He was a drug exposed infant and suffered from withdrawal of heroine. He spent the first two weeks of his life in the NICU and required special care for the next few months. Jay has an older sister whom he was separated from due to her being in a different placement for a while. Jay and his sister are now placed with their paternal cousins and this placement is going well and will be a permanent home for them in the near future. Jay hasn’t seen his parents for several months due to their lack of visiting him.
