Provide a Warm Thanksgiving Meal for Katara who loves being with her Felix Family

Every November, The Felix Organization hosts a Thanksgiving Feast for 100 foster youth from New York City. Many of these children have been displaced from their homes and separated from their loved ones. They look forward to attending this event every year because it creates a sense of support and togetherness at a particularly difficult time of year for foster youth- the holiday season. At the party, the kids enjoy a delicious Thanksgiving meal, listen to music, dance, participate in a unique art project, and watch a live performance by our co-founder, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels. They also get balloon animals and face-painting by Kooky the Clown and a goody-bag full of gifts on the way out. Please be a Thanksgiving angel and help us provide this fun and caring experience for Katara.
Katara is 15 years old and lives in NY
Katara is a kind, unique, talented, and vibrant youth from the New York City foster care system. She loves being part of the Felix Family because it gives her the opportunity to try new activities, explore her interests, and spend time with friends and other grownups who care about her wellbeing. She hopes she can be part of this family for many years.
