Dante was diagnosed with ADD earlier this year and is trying his hardest to do well in school. This is his first year in middle school and he is still adjusting. Every teacher has given feedback saying he is a delightful student and he tries really hard. His guidance counselor is helping him with organization, but the thing he lacks in order to complete his homework and studying at home is the means of focusing. There are many distractions in his home environment, as there are five people living in a two bedroom apartment. It was suggested that Dante receive a pair of Audio Sedation Headphones to wear at home in order to help him succeed in completing his school work. Dante gets very frustrated with himself when he can not focus, and hopes that these headphones will help him!
Dante is 15 years old and lives in NJ
Dante is the only boy with three sisters, living with his grandmother, after having been removed from his mother's care. Dante has been observed to be the child in this family that is always encouraging his siblings. When his sister was trying to play a game and feeling a little frustrated because she wasn't doing well, he came to her aid and patiently showed her how it was done. He has a knack for being attentive and caring in situations and turning them around for the positive.
