After recently aging out of the foster system, Monica was able to secure her very first apartment. Unfortunately, there is no fridge in the unit so the only way for Monica to keep essential foods on hand is to fill her cooler with ice from the building's ice machine. As a full time student, life would be so much easier with a functional fridge in Monica's kitchen.
Monica is 23 years old and lives in CA
Monica has been in the foster system since she was 12 years old. Having entered foster care in her early teenage years, Monica was put in a difficult emotional situation during those already challenging years. Monica has grown into a positive young woman who has embraced her experiences. She is a full time student, with plans to become an MSW. She wants to dedicate her life to helping children experiencing hardships.
