Annie currently works as a freelance graphic designer and photographer. She attends college at George Fox University with an art degree in 2015. She is passionate about advocating for the foster care and adoption realms. Annie was adopted as a 26 year old after aging out of foster care at the age of 21 and is now learning how to be a daughter. Having a forever family has changed everything for her and she is hopeful for adult adoption/older youth adoption to be something more people know about. Annie is a former foster youth and was in the system for 5 years and those 5 years brought a lot of pain, confusion and hope - a mixed bag of emotions that have led her to be thankful for the gift of life and also have given her a heart to spend her life shining a light on those who are in the she has walked in. She now serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate in her county. Annie is so thankful for the journey of growth, healing, and resilience that she has been on and beyond grateful for the tribe she has surrounding her.
