Adaptive bike for Zachary who is a fighter

Zachary has worked incredibly hard in therapy over the years and continues to try to strengthen his balance, and coordination. One of the best exercises that he can do is riding a bike. Not only is it super fun, but it also is a great way for Zachary to continue to work on all of the things he learns in therapy. Unfortunately, adapted bikes that he needs, are not covered by insurance and they are quite expensive. This bike will allow him to be like his peers, and interact with friends by riding around the neighborhood - all while working on his strength!
Zachary is 12 years old and lives in FL
Zachary was born at 27 weeks with ho heartbeat and not breathing. But he fought through it. After birth, he continued to battle complication after complication. He had two significant strokes at before he was 2 months old but once again fought through it. He was discharged into medical foster care at the age of 3 months. He was cared for by a wonderful family and was adopted as a toddler. Zachary walks with crutches or a walker, but doesn't let anything slow him down! He can swim the length of a small pool and just learned to swim down to the bottom of the shallow end to retrieve an object. He is smart as a whip and so, so funny.
