Due to COVID-19, King's work hours have been drastically reduced, and he's been living on a very fixed budget since March. While he works hard to pay off his rent and food, he has no money left over for other necessities like clothing and an AC. New York City summers can be brutally hot, and King lives in a small room with a window on a fire escape; meaning he can't block it with a traditional window AC unit. He is in desperate need of a portable AC unit, to ensure he can stay cool and sleep during these hot hot summers.
King is 31 years old and lives in NY
King is a remarkable young man. He is a recent graduate of CCNY and just earned his degree in creative writing. He is driven, motivated, and spends his spare time working with other foster youth as an ambassador and mentor. Since leaving foster care, King has his first apartment, which he shares with 2 other people, and works full time in real-estate, working toward becoming an agent. He strives every day to make his life better for himself and others, and is a tremendous and inspiring human.
