Running Shoes for Dean who is training for a marathon

Dean has signed up for a half marathon this fall, and it will be the first time he has run a race of that distance. He would love new running shoes for training and race day.
Dean is 20 years old and lives in NY
Dean has been in and out of residential facilities and foster homes for 7 years. An Interstate Compact was approved for him to move from Indiana to New York to a pre adoptive foster placement, and he is hopeful he has found his forever home! A previous CASA for Dean, who unfortunately passed away from cancer, encouraged Dean to begin running for fitness. He ran track and cross country in a couple of his schools he attended and loves the challenge of counting his steps and watching his times. Dean is interested in a degree in engineering or psychology. He wants to go to college, but has also considered entering the military.

Have you considered looking at the ROTC program? I am a Captain in the Army but had my education payed through the ROTC program.
