Miriam's time in foster care wasn't the easiest, but she was eventually placed with a foster family who became her family, and who provide love and support to her today. Miriam was able to graduate from high school, and enrolled at Rio Hondo Community College and will be graduating this year. Her goals are to continue with her education and receive her BA and MS degrees. She received support in college through the Guardian of Scholars program which supports foster youth in school. Miriam is very proud that even after having her son while in school, she didn't give up and accomplished many of the goals she set for herself.
